Hard as Snails
Hard as snails was made in unreal engine 4, for one of the global games jams that I entered with friends. The aim of the game was to protect your fathers shell that he passed on to you after he died. Waves of slugs would attack you to try and destroy the shell.
Things I worked on:
One of the main things that I worked on for this project was AI, I made the movement and the different mechanics the slugs had, some slugs had one main objective which was to go straight for the fathers shell and destroy it, others would patrol an area and attack the player if they wandered too close to them. Some enemies would be able to remember the last location they saw the player and go to check if they were still there. All of the slugs were able to notice placed objects like turrets and walls and would attack them once they had noticed them.
I also helped out with the place-able objects such as turrets and walls. Another thing I did was play testing and bug fixing so I would play the game numerous times to make sure that there were no bugs and if I did come across any I would work on fixing them straight away.
